Tim undertow is particularly dangerous at Newcastle. Two nurses at the Nowcastlo Hospital, Misses Quaylo and Bortrani, wore carriod away. A roan named Martin gallantly brought both ashore,' b.tit Miss Qnayle was dead. Miss Bertram is in a critical condition, and is unlikely to recover. Two men were almost lost in a similar way at tho samo spot an hour later, but were roscned in a slate of collapse.
