A wedding that was of interest to many Wellington residents took placo in Dunedin, on tho morning of Decembor 26, when Miss Edith Walcott Botliamley, of . Dunedin, was married' at St. John's Church, Roslyn, to Mr. Richard English, of Wellington, son of the lato Rev. A. English, of Auckland. Tho brido ivoro a dress of oystpr whito satin over glaco silk, trimmed with a bertha and yoke of exquisito roso point lace. With this she wore a veil and orange blossoms.- The bridesmaid, Miss Gladys Minims, woro a frock of embroidered Indian muslin with brotelles of embroidery, and a white net hat with crown of large pink roses. The Rev. H. AV. L. Snow' performed the ceremony. A reception was afterwards held at the home of the bride's grandmother. Mr. dnd Mrs. English aro going to live in Hamilton. Mr. Norman T. Raymond, of Messrs. A. S. I'aterson and Co.'s staff, was married at St. Mark's Church on Friday afternoon, to Miss Floronco Arabella ; Muir, youngest daugh'tor- to the lato Mr.' Alex Muir. Misses Mavis Ashman and' Joyce Bottrell were the - bridesmaids, • and Mr. N. Woods, ■ of Christchureh, acted as best man. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Mr. Bartlctt.' Mr. and Mrs. C; B. Russell aro staying with their family at Day's Bay House.' The Misses Marchant, aro spending a few weeks at the Bay. Miss principal of the Cambridge Girls' School, Sydney, is spending the holidays in New Zealand, and is at present tho guest of Dr. Agnes Bennett. ' ■ Mrs. W. Young and her children have gone for tho • holidays to their home at Silvorstreaiil, and Mrs. Arthur Young and her children aro staying with them. .
