OPERA HOUSE. Tho pictnresqucness and. humour of "His Highness the Bey " < entertained a. large audience when the'comedy was repeated by Pollard's Juvenile Opera Company .in the Opera House last evening. The pieco will be ; playc(l for the last time to-night. THEATRE ROYAL. The week's programme at the Theatre Royal was given for tho last time last evening beforo ail 'appreciative audience. ■ Messrs. Fuller and Sons will provide an entirely new entertainment to-night. ; WONDERLAND. - ' Fireworks in the evening, and the; fixed attractions' in the afternoon, drew a large number of peoplo yesterday to ,Wonderland. Toboggan races and a Punch and Judy show are special attractions for to-day. ABOMAH,' THE ' GiANTESS. Abomali, the Giantess, who is 7ft. Gin. high, and sings the latest ballads, was on exhibition agaiu yesterday to a considerable number of visitors, who were further entertained by the fire-eating feats of " Prince Olrac," Abomali will be' on view again to-dny. - I".; ' THE BLUE,JIOON." , There -is every indication of public interest in tho forthcoming production—in fact, lovers of. light music have for somo time been : looking forward to the advent of " The Blue Moon,", the piano and vocal score having already, made the music popular. The box plans will :ho opened at the Dresden this morning at 9 o'clock, and heavy booking is anticipated. Reports of the'all-round ability of the company and of the superior qualities of tho piece, as a'musical play have come from Australia, where the com-pany-and play liavo made a- brilliant success. The Blue Moon" has beon rather prettily described as "a dainty poem, with its scenes set in the silken East, bringing with it a breath of flowers arid spices, and the beauty of .Oriental magnificence. Several well-known English writers and composers have collaborated in the work. The libretto is by Mr. Harold Ellis, and the -music has been composed by Messrs. Howard Talbot and Paul Rubens, with additional lyrics by Mr. Percy Greenbanks. Tho two scenes of the play—ouo being "Tho Bungalow at Naga," and tho other the "Ruby Palace at Kharikus," are 6aid to be extremely .beautiful. ■ •
WEST'S PICTURES.' West's ■ Pictures and - L; Do Groen's ViceRegal Band will open, a season at the, Town Hall on Christmas night, when the management will submit an entertainment which, it is said, has rarely, if over, been equalled in any part of the Dominion. West's Pictures aro almost a household word in Now Zealand. The pictures secured for the presont tour include the very latest in colour and animated cinematography' procurable' in England, America, an dthe Continent. ; Mr.' West's agents send out to headquarters a batch of the latest films by every mail. These aro said to contain novelties enough to satisfy the most fastidious of playgoers. The overtures will commenco each evening at eight o'clock sharp. The. management also announce that there will be matinee performances on Saturday afternoons at 2.30 for tlio convenience of families, and that tho bos plan will bo open to-day at tho Dresdon.
