T SUPREME COURT. IX DIVORCE. His Honour Mr. Justico Button held a sitting in Divorce yesterday morning. Tho case, Harriett Eliza Adsott (petitioner) v. Thomas Adsott (respondent)—a petition for divorce on tho ground of alleged drunkenness and cruelty—had been set down provisionally. Mr. Moran represented the petitioner. Mr. Levi, who appeared on behalf of the respondent, objected to the case being heard. Ho pointed out that the case was' l not an undefended one. His Honour- said that the easo had been fixed provisionally on the understanding that it was an undefended suit. There was not time to take a defended case, and, therefore, the hearing would be adjourned sine dio.
