It'also'decided to approve of January 1;; 2, 3, and 4:■ for the Auckland championship meeting. The .programme for the Hawke's Bay tournament, to be held ou March 29 and. 30, was confirmed. The New South Wales Association wrote stating that they would be glad to receive a team of ladies from New Zealand-to compete, in the Now South Wales championships to be held in March. The secretary stated that it would'cost about £61 to send a beam of six, ajlowing for bare expenses only. Mr. Hurley moved that a team of six • ladies be sent to compete in inter-State matches to be held in Sydney in-March,- transit expenses being paid from Wellington to Sydney and back to Wellington. The motion was carried. Messrs. A. Young, H. M. Gore', and, G. Goldie (ex-officio) were appointed a committee to select the team, and it was decided to leave all arrangements in the hands of the selection committee,, with full • power to act. ' ' ■ Tho annual meeting of the Australasian Association is to be hold on December 20 in Sydnoy,'' tho principal business being • tho selection of the place where the Australasian championships for 1908 are.to.be held. For tho first- time iivtho Association's History tho tournament will be confined solely to championship events'. Most of' tho leading Dominion, players will, take part, as well as Parker and Miss Baker, of Australia. The Tnrnuaki Provincial Championship Tournament follows, entries closing on the 21st. Considerable preparation is being made for the entertainment of visiting players.
