His Worship, tho Slayor, alluding to tho article in yesterday's Dominion on the need for a now tram-car shed; told a reporter that there was no doubt that additional housing accommodation for thc : cars ' was requii -j d. The rolling stock had ,bocn increasing fny some time, and the twenty new cars that were on order wore grtulually - coming in. lie did not anticipate that, any more, .beyond theso would bo required for some time. His own opinion was that a shed in some ■ other outlying place would, do- as. well as : at Thorndon. Tho Council was hot tied down to any particular place,- and tho decision would depend upon whore'. tlm ; .accommodation could be obtained most advantageously.
