On account of Christmas intervening, the ordinary monthly meeting, /of the Harbour Board will he held on Thursday host; Decomber.,lo. : The following notices of motion.have been handed in to the secretary:'— '• By Mr. Shirtcliffo-" That, 'in view of the inadequacy, of 1 the present-wharf and shed accommodation to cope'with the rapidly-in-creasing import, trade of the.port, the provision of increased accommodation be treated as,an urgent work, and the Engineer take steps to nave'tho^widening'of.the outer tee of tho Queen's' Wharf and the-ercctioirthero-o;i of two-storied sheds, as recommended by him m his report of May 31, 1906,-putin hand at the earliest possible date.". By Mr: That all communications from members of the staff and from tho omploy'ees shall be made-to the Board through the Chief Executive Officer."
