The various chhrch organisations at Port Chalmers have benefitted substantially ns ■tho result of the liberality of .tho Mayor (Mr.' Isaac Ktovcnsou), who has generously divided bis mayoral' honorarium o(|iially ' amongst thorn, says the "Otago Daily Times.Ka'cli denomination has benefitted to the extent of £10, Mr. Stevenson having generously added that amount, to his honorarium iit ouler to acliiove that object. As a result the funds of the Anglican, Presbyterian! Congregational, Roman Catholic, and Wesleyari Churches have each been increased by that amount, and in the case of the Salvation Army £5' was donated to tho funds and £5 was donated to Adjutant Brown for personal expenses, Needless to say, t.he respective cheques were acknowledged in befitting jteima..
