TROUBLE IN REICHSTAG. BULOW AND THE UNRULY BLOC. ! ) ' THE SCANDALS AGAIN. BT TELEGRAPH—I-KESS ASSOCIATION—COFTBIGHT. ''Rec. Dec. 5, 11 p.m.) Berlin, December 5. Horr Hermann Paasche, National Liberal, and Vice-President of the Diet, startled the Koichstag by offering to produce Count Hohenau's compromising letters, submitted to the Potsdam Court-Martial (which is hearing the charges of immorality and intrigue made against Counts Hohenau and Lynar and others by Herr Harden). Twenty-four hours previously, General von Einem, Minister for War, had stated that nothing had been proved against Count Hohenau. The uproar was increased when HerrLattman (an anti-Semitic) remarked that Herr Paasclie's son was engaged to Horr Harden's niece. General von Einem, in his reply, reiterated his previous statement, minimising tho meaning of Count Hohenau's. letter,, and adding that Counts Hohenau and Lynar had placed themsolves at the disposal of the Uourt of Inquiry. This reply led to an abrupt adjournment sf the debate by the votes of the Bloc, consisting of the Conservatives, National Liberals, Anti : Semites, and Radicals. The 8100 usually support the Government. The Social Democrats asked the reason for the adjournment. Herr Bassermann said it was made in jrder that they might study General von Einem's reply. The "North German Gazette" lifts the rail. It explains that before Genoral von Einem made- his reply, the Chancellor, L'rince Bulow, summoned tho leaders of the Bloc, and informed them that it was impossible to continue the Government's gen3ral policy if the sections of tho Bloc persisted in attacking the Government and each jther. Ho suggested an adjournment in jrder to enable the Bloc to consider tho position. Tho Bloc journals declare that Prince Bulow threatened to resign unless the sections of tho Bloc harmoniously support him. London, Decombor 5. Renter's Agency declares that tho mnin juestion is taxation. Tho National Liberals favour direct taxes. Tho Federal Council spposes. The "Daily Telograph" explains that Herr Harden's nieco (referred to in the debate) is the daughter of Herr Witting, a banker, md "ono of tho ablest of the National Liberal deputies in the Prussian Diet.
