Tho new Druce-Portland Company—a ccmpoting concern with the company which is behind tho claim of Georgo Ilollamby Druce—through Mr. Pricliard, ono of thoir directors, have applied to Mr. Justico Joyco for an injunction restraining Mr. Blakiston and Captain Halls, co-directors, from parting with moneys in their possession. Mr. Prichard's counsel stated that George Hollamby Drucc's claim to tho dukedom of Portland must fail, because Charles Edgar Druce, grandson of an elder brother of tho claimant's father, was still alivo in Australia. Claimant might como to terms with his cousin, but that would not affect the applicants, who are shareholders and mostly artisans and domestics. Tho application was adjourned. London, November 29. Mrs. Hamilton gave turthor evidence, in the interest of the Portland claimant, George Hollamby .Druco, in the caso against Herbert Druce, who is charged with having committed porjury in swearing that in December, 1864, ho saw Thomas Charles Druco, his father, dead in a coffin. Mrs. Hamilton deposed that in 1844 she recognised Druce. through tho window of lus Baker Street bazaar by means of a photograph on a card her father had given her. She adhered to this m cross-examination, though it was suggested that sucli. photographs woro not produced until 1850.
