Nominations received for tho Manawatu Racing Club summer meeting constitute a record, being fifty ahead of the previous best number.
Manawatu Cup, one mile and a half.— Maniapoto, Polyanthus, Chatterer, Bourrasque, Sandix, William, Grand Slam, Mcrne Rose, Moral, Truce, Gold Crest, Kurawaka, Marguerite, Elevation, Montigo, Roseal, tXilicmaid, Saga, Tangimoana, King's Lynn, Landwern, The Rand, Frisco, The Lark, Zimmerman', Sir Tristram, Medallist, Tan San, Rosegrove.
Thirty horses still remain in the Palmerston North Stakes, run on the first day of the meeting, including Aborigine, Bunyan, Downfall, Glenculloch, Sister Anne, Elevation, Helen Portland,'Oxtoii, The Rand, Normative, Count Witte, Armlet, and Elysium.
