Palnierston, North, November 2G. Tlio Manawatu A. and I'. Association met to-day, 111'. AY. F. Jacob presiding. Correspondence was received from the Wangamii Education Board, suggesting that a contribution should he made to the salary paid to Mr. Grant, the Board's instructor in elementary agricultural work. At present, tho returns from the several classes show a loss of £107 011 tho salary paid. Tho letter was referred to tha Finance Committee. The Railway Department wrote with regard to the complaint that excursionists to the show had boon prevented from travelling by certain trains. It was explained that, special trains had been put on for special districts, and it was' hot possiblo to lot everyono travel by them. The letter was referred back to Mr. Ronayno with a statement of tho position. Mr. G. T. Pharaywi forwarded his resignation from the comniitteo as ho was leaving the district. Tho Wanganui A. and 11.l 1 . Association wrote stating that Messrs. AY. J. Cartlett and C. Green, and their horses Scout and Spider, had her during the pleasure of that Ai .ition, and asking for endorsement. T'hs alleged offence was in representing their horses as,qualified hunters, whereas, according to Sir. D. Riddiford, Master of the Rangitikei Hunt Club, they were not. The disqualification was endorsed. Two new members were elected, and several resignations accepted. The general reason for the resignations was absenco from the district, but two were because of tho curtailment of privileges. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to all those who had assisted us stewards, etc., at the recent spring show. It was resolved that Mr. E. "White's pigs be disqualified for being over age at the recent show, and that all prize-money bo forfeited.
