Tho Madrid correspondent of tho "Daily Express" asserts ' that King Carlos has banished tho Crown Princo of Portugal for remonstrating with tho King as to tho inadvisability of'continuing a practical dictatorship. The Crown Princo considers that tho King's action is turning Portugal into a hotbed of Republicans and and is endangoring tho dynasty. Tho Crown Princo is under tho influenco of a party which desires King Carlos to abdicate in his son's favour. A bomb conspiracy against tho King and Ins Primn Minister (Senor Franco) was alleged to havo been discovered in August last. ic Crown Prince, Luiz Phillipc, Duke of Braganza, was'born on March 21, 1887. There has been trouble browing over since the King r.-> ( ] his Prime Minister turned out tho Cortes and began to govern without it.
