When a Montreal woman named Quinn was arrested for being intoxicated, she was' found to have a chain tightly padlocked round her body. In conscquonce of what she told the police her husband was arrested. Ho admitted that he had kept the unhappy woman chained to tho bedpost in her rooni for a month in order to prevent hor obtaining intoxicants.
