Minister for Lands —Mr. W. H; Barnes (Bulimba). Minister for Railways—Mr. J. D. Campbell (Moreton)t \ Minister for Works and Mines—Mr. P. J. Leahy (Bulloo). Minister for Education and Agriculture— Mr. W. Stephens (Brisbane South). Minister for Justice and Leader of tho Legislative Council —The Hon. F. I. Power, M.L.C. Minister without portfolio—Tho Hon. W. V. Brown, M.L.C. (Roc. Nov. 19, 8.20 p.m.) , Brisbane, Novcmbor 19. Tho Philp Ministry, which was only announced to-day, has been defeated in tho Assembly by 37 votes to 23. SOME FURTHER DETAILS. CLOSING SCENE. (Rec. Nov. 20, 0.55" a.m.) Brisbane, November 19. Mr.' Philp, after announcing his Ministry, oxplainod that it was intended to ask ihe llouso to pas 3 tho Estimates and then to oloao tho session. If tho Houso was not prepared to go on with the businoss, it must tako the consequences. Mr. Kidston moved that tho Chairman loavo tho chair. Ho oxplainod that he had told tho Houso ho could not go on because of obstruction from tho Legislative Council. That obstruction would havo to be dealt with.

Mr. Kiston declared that attcmiits had been made to bribe members on his sido to support tho Philp Government, but tho attempts had failed. Ho added that members had boon thrcatoned for standing to their duty. Mr. Philp explained that he had not attomptod to get Mr. Kidston's supporters to join him till Mr. Kidston resigned. Mr. Kidston's motion v.-as then carried, as already cabled, and the. House adjourned.
