RIFLE SHOOTING.
' - — PETONE RIFLE CLUB AT WAIWETU. On Saturday last the Petone Rifle Club held its first competition for the championship aggregate, for wliich trophies havo been donated to A Class by Messrs. G. Cudby, E. P. Bunny, and W. A. Cook, and to U .Class by Messrs. C. Hollard, L. W. Ludwig, and A. Ballinger. Owinfe to the heavy and trickv wind, high scores were out of the question, but, nevertheless, some fairly good shooting was made. The conditions were ten shots, at 000 and 700 yards.
