: - v TERMS SUGGESTED. - In discussing the trouble with a Dominion representative- this weok, one of the ortho-dox-party—a figurehead in the North Island Poultry Association—put the case from his own party's point'of view. He said tliat the withdrawal of the Manawatu -Poultry Association from the A. and P. Association, was duetto their believing they had a grievance and.to a feeling that it would be hest for.all concerned 1 that'they should hold, the nest show independently. The subsequent alteration of the North Island. rules, ■ which-pro-vided that. during: the three winter months no.outside,bodies should be licensed to hold poultry shows, was carried into effect solely to-prevent r the holding of two riv.nl poultry shows at one time in one town. That would be Considered' by every one' to' be a fair position to t»ke up. The Manawatu Association,■••however, held - a show regardless of the rule; and the Poultry Society, at its show held simultaneously, lost a considerable sum of money. ■>" It is a poor Society now," he continued,-"weak'financially; and I think it would be best, to lot the A. and P.' Association. run the'.poultry shows in future." But they will not uphold tho disqualifications.' You must admit they are right'in sticking to those you disqualified for bxhibiting?-'
