Mr. Keir Hardio, tbo Labour Member of tho Houso of Commons, whoso utterancca in India were lately severely criticised, in a letter to Mr. J. 0. Watson (ox-Leador of tho Fedoral Laboir party), states that owing to his having extended his visit to India, ho must curtail his visit to Australasia, as ho wishes to no back in timo for tlio oponing of tho Houso of Commons in January. Ho will endeavour during his stay to soo as many Labour mon as possible Mr. Hardio adds: "Thonoeds of India aro great. My prosonco or absenco from Australia is a mattor of small importanco, wheroas by obtaining information concerning tho people of India I may bo ablo to do some servico to thorn on my return."
