REFERENDUM SUGGESTED BY THE 1 LABOUR PARTY. HI TELEQBAPn—PEESS ASSOCIATION—COPTRIGnT, Melbourne, November 13. It is understood that, tho Labour Party committee has recommended. that a clause bo inserted in the Customs Tariff Bill next year, providing for a referendum on tho amended tariff. The House has fixed tho duty on woollen pieco goods at 30 per cent., and preforantial duty 25 per cent.; on silk and velvet goods, 20 por cent:, and preferential duty 15 per cent.
