TAMAHAU'S MEETING HOUSE.

Sir,—l hopo that tho Minister will not take any notice of the agitation to skift Tntnahau's meeting houso from Martinborough to l'apawai. Tapawai is a pah apparently in a mast neglected state. Most of tho Maoris thore do not tackle hard labour as they might do, and if they turn tho place into a show resort it will only mean that tho natives will become morn idle than ever, and will exist mainly for tho purpose of living upon any unfortunate tourists who may happen to' pass that way. Papawai is in every way unfitted to be the homo of this valuable Maori relic, which might very well be left in its present position a few miles from Martinborough, one of the most progressive centres in the Island.—l am, etc., WAIHENGA. Grcytowu, Nov. 0.
