Tho committee of the West Coasters Association met on Wednesday in the rooms of Messrs. Dw'an Bros., Mr. E. J. Fitzgibbon. in.thu chair. Mr. C. J. Pfaff was appointed secretary, and Mr. T. B. Dwan treasurer. It was decided to, hold a social gathering within the next fortnight, at which members from (he Coast, before their return home, would' be entertained, and where Coasters generally - might renew acquaintances. A special committee, composed of Hons. 11. 11. Reeves anil 11. Gilmer, Messrs. ; J. Holmes, J. Marshall, Messrs. B. Dwan, R. Quiun, D. Hannah, F. M'Parlaud, jun'., P. J. O'Kegan, W. Gasquoiue, J. W. Poynton, and S. J. Fitzgibbon, was set up to make. tho • necessary arrangeme&ts for the function. Among (hose present at the meetiiig was the Wcstlami County Clerk, Mr. D. J. Evan's, who, by invitation, addressed the meeting with respect to the Scddon Memorial. A voluble female witness made tho. Magi*, trate's Court-room resound with a continuous flow of words yesterday afternoon. Such was tho verbosity of the witness that Mr. Herdman was constrained to say:—"Every time I ask you a qnestiou it is like pulling, the.string of a shower bath."
