AMALGAMATING WITH KARORI. Wellington City is steadily stretching its giant arms further afield, and soon there will bo little left for it to draw within its fold. At the meeting last night, tlio Finance and Property Committee reported that it 'had been interviewed by a committee from the Knrori Borough Council with reference to the amalgamation of the borough with 'the city, and recommended that a committee lie-ap-pointed to act with a committee appointed by the borough for the purpose of discussing 'u scheme of amalgamation with either the whole or part of tho borough. The report was received favourably, and it was decided to refer the matter to the Finance. Committee.
