Tho fourth annual meeting of tho Mnnawatu Rillo Association opened most auspiciously to-day, but towards the afternoon the weather became boisterous, and shooting was carried on under difficulties. Tho mooting was arranged to start at 7.30, but owing to some littlo delay, tho proceedings wero not commenced till an hour later. The first match was the Linton Rifle Association, which was won by Adams, of tho I'ukcokntu Rifle Club, with 07 points. ,L Pickering (Linton Riile Club). Senrt. Marshall (Pnhiatua), and W. Marshall (Opaki) shared second place,, with 0G points each. In tho Orona match,' Sorgt. Humphries (Nawkc's Bay Mounted Rifles) was first, with 01; Sorgt. Cap]) (Palmerston North Guards) second, with 00. In the rapid firing match, Turnbull (Opaki) was first, with 32, and Drummond (Wangauui) second, with 31.
