Tho financial journal " Economist".'says the Commonwealth (which obtained at tho Imperial Conference tho privilcge.of coining its own silvor) wants to shunt old worn current silver at its faco value, but, in ordor to make tho profit more equitable, the London Mint will aecopt coin merely at bullion value. Special Australian siivor coinage will have to ho qnito distinct, unci will only be allowed as legal tender within Australia.
