MACMAHON'S TICTURES. Tlie very 'fine scries of kinematograpfr views being shown by the Messrs. MacMjhon at the Opera House drew another lal-go audience last evening,- which was alternately amused and thrilled by tlie realism of the picture-dramas. The "Robbery Under Arms" pictures were enthusiastically received by an audience that was evidently well acquainted with every incident in Boldrewood's story. Mr. Howard Veriion and \ Illia do Loitte appeared again in the "Rip Van Winkle" sketch, and . Miss Iris Vance sang cleverly-illustrated"' songs. There will be a matinee on Saturday.

BATTALION' BAND CONCERT. Under the auspices, of'the Ist Wellington Rifle Battalion Band ; an excellent entertainment was given in His Majesty's Theatre last night, the object beingt.ho raising , of funds for the purchase of new uniforms. The band, , which was under the leadership of Mr. F. L. Dean, was ably assisted by the Working Men's Club Orchestra and the Dominiou Min- . strels. Part lof the programme, consisted of musical items contributed by the Battalion..; Band, Major C. D. Mackintosh, Mr.-A. 'Smith, ''Sergeant.Homer Oliver,' Corporal N. ~ Oliver, and Miss Mabel Murray. The Wellington Working' Men's, Club .'Orchestra and the Dominion Minstrels took charge of Part 11, and provided an excellent programme. '' 'Mr. Hobman was.interlocutor. Messrs'.
