■' The Premier has given notice to move: That a Select , Committee bo' appointed,'to whom shall bo referred the Gaining and Lotteries Act -Amendment, Bill; the Committee to consist of Messrs. -Hemes, Ell, Wilford, Poland, Poolo, Reid, T. Mackenzie, Dayey, Witty, and the mover.'
Mr. Horries is asking for a return showing, in respect of the Mutt railway and road improvement—(l) The estimate of the Department of the total cost of the work; (2) tho estimate of the area to be reclaimed; (3) the estimated value of the area so expected tobe reclaimed; (4) a plan showing the proposed Work; (5) the total amount spent up to September 30, 181)7; and (6) the towl area reclaimed up to that date.
