According to the "Lyttelton Times," something in the nature of a weather phenomenon occurred on Friday morning during the brightest part of tho day. When the nor'wester was blowing hardest, and without a cloud being visible overhead, light rain commenced to fall, and continued for several minutes in tho western end of the city.
