Tile details available indicate that the takings at Manawatu 'Show during the three days from the gates and stands only was £1300, or about £100 better than last year. The attendance yesterday was put down at 25.000, making 45,000 for the three days. I BLENHEIM EGG-LAYING COMPETITION. [by telegraph— PRESS ASSOCIATION.] ' Blenheim, November 2. At the Blenheim egg-laying' competition' the total for the week was 1735, and the grand total 45',527. The highest. pens for the week wero:—Pen SS, W. A. Sowman's bud orpingtons, 39; pen 60, E. Scott, white leghorns, .38; pen 2, F. Edelston, white .leghorns, 36; pen 25, Mick Shaw, white leghorns, 30; pen 47, Jonathan Hodson, white leghorns, 36. The highest pens to date are: Pen '1, " Marlborough Herald," white leghorns, 650; pen 7, J.
