Mr. Lloyd-Georgo, addressing tho Welsh National Liberal Coivwention at Rhyl, appealed to tho nation tomupport him in every fair step to prevent ajrailway strike. ■;.■■• n ■ , HOW-LONG WILL'TIIE FUNDS LAST? ; In tho event of tho men deciding to leave work they will receive-"(snys the "Daily Mail") striko pay according to the rules of tho Society on the following basis :— A. Those paying con- 12s. per weok and Is. ti-ibutions at tho per week for each rate of sd. pur child under 12 years week of. age. B. Thoso paying con-, (is. per week and Is. tributions at the per week for each rate..of 3d. per child under 12 years week, of ago. According to Mr. Boll's own statement, a strike would involve about 97,000 men. Tho actual funds at the disposal of the Society at present amount to about ,£400,000. If wo take the averago week's striko pay at 10a. per l man, the total would be .£48,500, so that the funds accumulated would last for about eight weeks. ; But in the event of h striko the .Amalgamated Society of Jiailway Servants have received assurances from several of tho more wealthy trade unions that monetary aid will be promptly forthcoming.
