A. (J. M'Eldownoy, T. L. Austin, J. Philpott, and H. Uphain, all' old servants of Sargood's, also spake in praise of Mr. Witt's ability.and uniform courtesy, and Mr.' Witt replied in suitable terms. His health and that of the firm wcro enthusiastically honoured before' tho gathering dispersed. Mr. Witt intends 'to take a holiday before entering v into business on his own account in Wellington. •
