HERETUNGA DAIRY COMPANY.
Tho fifteenth annual meeting of tho Heretauuga Dairy Company was held on Saturday evening, Mr'. C. A. Fitxroy presiding. Somo ;i0 shareholders were present.- The secretary (Mr. F. Hartshorn) read the report and balaneesheot, as published'in "The Dominion" last Wednesday, and, in commenting on them, the chairman'said he thought they would give genoi'al satisfaction. Ho was pleased to say tho company was at last in a sound financial position; Tho company took over the factory from Mr. W. Stock, about six years ago, and tho policy of ecouomy had at last
changed tho bank overdraft into a substantial credit balance. The company would have to faco an expenditure of £200 for a more powerful boiler, but next year the advisabiity of paying a dividend would be considered, lie was sorry, and yet pleased, to bd giving up the office of chairman just now—pleased because the company was at last prosperous. at r< s° rt ilMcl l);l!a "ce-sheet were adopted. air. 11. B. Holmes pointed out that hitherto the company had paid a considerable sum lor cold storage, but this year, tlirough installing a freezing chamber, the company had made a profit. The proposal of the directors, that the number of directors'be raised, to nine, was carried._ The bal'ot for directors resulted in the election of the following :—Messrs.; A. Mas.tors, T. Percival, J. Rcsten, C. L. Mackersey, 9r h l [tx R °y> J - Macdonald, A. Wollwood, H. M'lvessick, and F. Cook. Messrs. R. B. Holmes-and A. K. Ryan wero re-elected auditors. An honorarium- of £30 was voted tp the retiring chairman. . ....... At a subsequent meeting of. directors '.Mr. T. lcrcival was elected chairman.
