Despite unfavourable circumstances, the solf-donial month, just concluded by the Salvation Army in" Now Zealand'has-again achieved a record success, 'i'lio amount collected in the two islands was £10,824 9s. 3d., as against'£lo,3S3 in 1900. The North Island has contributed £5730 10s., as against £5500 for the .preceding year, and tho South Island £5093 19s. 3d.,-, as .against: £4818.
