MISS'BOYLE'S MARRIAGE.' Half Christchurch* seemed to be present at (he Church,"of- St.- Michaol and All Angels »n-Tuesday: afternoon on the occasion of the marriage, of Miss.Janet Boyle, eldest daughter of Mr. Alexander Boyle, of Christchurch, to . Mr: Algar. Williams,-', of Wellington and Napier. lie church ritsolf (writes our Christchurch - Correspondent) was crowded, and all the approaches were thronged with people desirous of witnessing as much as was possible of 'one of tho: prettiest .and most, weddings': seen an Christchurch for some time. The chancel of the church was : prettily decorated' for-the occasion. 'The service was conducted .by 'Dean Harper, assisted by Archdeacon'Avorill, vicar of the parish, tho musical portion of the service being rendered by;.the church' choir. 1 The bride .was attended by eight bridesmaids, Misses P His 'Boyle, Una Williams, Avice Pitman,'Bbtiier Barker, Marie Rhodes, Doris Barker, Jocelyn Pyne, and Iris Studholme, and bygone small page, her little brother.: Tho ...bridegroom was attended by his cousin, Mr. E. -Williams as best man. The i hridp's costumo was of. white . satin trimmed with old; Brussels lace, the train being of .striped satin and lace. The bridesmaids wore dresses of white miroir, with rose coloured! -pelerines,.. white,' chip hats, and white ..veils,,; the. iats being trimmed with lilies of the. valley,,and roses. .At,the conclusion, of .the ceremony tho guests, to the' number, of ,400, attended the reception at Mr. Boyle's house, where a large marquee, beautifujly decorated , with flowers, was erected ,in the garden. . . .The display of presents, of which there were • more than four hundred, was exceptionally fine: The bridegroom's gift to the bride was-a 'splendid set. of sables, and to each of the. bridesmaids an amethyst pendant. Other presents included a diamond and omerald pendant from the bride's father, household linen from her mother, table silver from tho bridegroom's mother, a dressing case Phyllis .Boyle, Honiton lace from tho bridegroom's sisters, a diamond pendant from Mr. F. A. Pyne (Mr.. Boyle's partner),-, a. gold watch from the office' staff of Pyne and Co., a set of silver fruit dishes from the .household staff of. the bride's parents, and a 1 silver toast rack from the household staff of tho bridegroom's family. At "the .Taranaki - Street Wesleyan Church afternoon Miss Winnie Brittain, fourth' daughter of Mr. Henry Brittain, of Wellington, was married .to Mr. James Donald,' eldest son of tho late' Mr. J. W. Donald. The' .Rev. W. J. -Williams performed the ceremony. Miss Beatrice Brittain (sister) attended the bride, and Mr. A.; Little was best-'man. ' ' 1 ' The marriage of Miss Annie Ready to Mr. Wm.' 'Herbert Giles, of the City Tramways office staff, was celebratel at St. Mary of the Ansel's, Church yesterday morning. Miss Hilda Giles (sister of the bride) was bridesmaid, and Mr.:P. Fleming acted as best man.
