The stocks of nineteen copper, tin, silver, and lead companies have declined in value between five and six thousand pounds (?) on tho day. , The spot quotations of tho metals mentioned, on September 1 and on October 15, tho latter being stated in parentheses, are: Copper, £78 ss. (JEGO 10s.); tin,: £165 15s. (.6139); lead, .£l9 7s. 6d. (,£19); silver, 31Jd. (28id.). Probably "five or six thousand pounds" means fifty or sixty thousand pounds. ,
