Considerable diseussion took place regarding tlie expenditure of a sum of money, recently received by the Centre for the purpose of promoting the Humane Branch. The Secretary stated that the Centre was getting into touch with the Eoyal Life Saving Society, and had ordered'a large number, of posters and;handbooks issued by that Society. One member suggested that* the: Centre- should..provide a shield, for life : saving competitions, while an-: -.otherj member proposed tho holding, of 'races; with' clothes. on/. arid for swimming.!on the; back. T!»e Club's delegates were urged to .push the Humane work actively, and. to see that the money was spent.
