This work, which' has not yet been performed in ' Wellington,' was completed for the Birmingham-.Festival of 1882, and contains some orchestration, while the chorus and solo portion is equally fine. Tho soloists' will be Mrs. Hudson, of Duncdin (soprano), Miss Caldow, and .Miss E. Rash (contralto), Mr'.'E, J; Hill (toner,-;'' Mr. John Prousc (baritone);'and also ( Mr.'Andrew'Black, the great English barito.no singer.'
