It is understood that a proposal if afoot to shift tlio Wakapuaka cnbh station to Nelson. As a result, the Government will, it 'is stated, effect ' a considerable saving. It is> piosumei' { that, if tho change is agreed to, ir* ' rangomonts will bo made with tho Eastern Extension Company to foiward cablegrams to" Nelson. Tho pneo to bo paid for this service is said to ho £GOO per annum.
