OPERA HOUSE. The popular "Mother Goose" season, which has been attracting crowded houses for the past two weeks, is drawing to a close.' Another largo audienco_ witnessed the performance last evening. It will be repeated this oven-' ing. THEATRE, ROYAL. The varied . and entertaining ■ fare provided by tho Fuller Company attracted a large audience to thaTh'eatro Royal Inst night. There was a pleasing swing about tho proceedings, and tho house was insistent in its demand for encores. "A WARNING'TO WOMEN."

Watson-Mill's drama, produced at tlio Theatre Royal by Messrs Meynell and Gunn's .Company, is that thoy ought not to drink alcoholic liquor, or tako morphia. -Being a victim of those two vices, Moira Reunion falls into tho evil power of Dr. Dread, wlin lures her from her country homo in Ireland on tho pretext of restoring her to health, and takes her to London, whoio ho moroly confirms her in her degradation. Incidentally, in rovengo for society's treatment of him bcPiro lie, became a wealthy' man, ho conceives the idea of destroying tho city by setting loose in jt the germs of a brilliant scliomo for tho villain ,if melodrama! His method of carrying out this .plot is to persuade Moira to inject tho gorms into hor arm, just as she would morphia. Then ho informs his guests that they, too, will contract tho plague, and will probably be dead in a fow minutes; and, with veij proper alarm and indignation,, thoy rush out of his. house A friend of Moira fortunately administers an antidote to her, and saves her life, Tho first two acts puss iu Ireland, and an interesting picture is given of lifo in tho homo of tho Irish , squire, Moira's iather. Miss Hilyard played with considerable power as tho hapless Moira, exhibiting with roalism the gloomy phases of the character. •
