(From Our Own Correspondents.) A supply of 2500 gallons of milk daily is being received at the.Featlicrston Dairy Factory at present. Tho lambiug returns in and around ■Tablelands show a'percentage of 120. Various entries for the Manawatu A: and P. Show aro corning to hand freely. The dog classes give promise of v'ory strong competition. An approximate number of entries in oil classes will be available about Friday or Saturday next. Several large firms have sent in applications to bo allotted space for machinery exhibits. . Jt is the intention .of tho Manav/atu A: and P. Association to locate tho cows entered in the champion butter fat competition at Mr. J. Batcholor's farm, Fitzherbevt. . Docking, is almost finished in the Gladstone district. The lambing returns arc on the v.'ho!o most satisfactory. Tho best so far reported are from Mr. J. Strang's flock of 2700 Do'.vn owes, namely, 120 per cent. Mr. R. Cooper, in tho same locality,' estimates a return, of • 100 per cent, from 2000 owes. Mr. Goopcr is using a modern docking apparatus, v.-hich is said to bo much hotter than tho knife, ft is alleged to stay the bleeding, and thus enables tho farmor to send lambs away to tho freezing works fully i a month earlier than is usually, done. Othor Gladstone farmers are watching tho work of the new instrument with much interest, but so far have not definitely decided in its favour. Our Wairarapa correspondent states that shearing is reported to hove coni■nienced .at Mr. Bidwill's station, near Foatlierston.
