Despatches from Sicily on August 13 ieport that Mount Etna has suddenly broken into violent eruption. Dense clouds ot smoke rose to an immense' height, and flames '.vpre emitted. The .prisoners passed through the tunnel and disappeared in the open country on the other side of the river.
