SUPREME CQURT. A DISPUTED INVENTION. Tho hearing of the case, George Saunders, of Pleasant Point, thresh-ing-mill owner, v. Alexander Finlay Campbell, of Totara Valley, Timaru, threshing-mill owner, was continued bofore His Honour Mr. Justice/ Cooper on Saturday morning. This was an appeal from tho decision of tho Registrar of Patents, given on June 19, 1907, by which lie decided the respondent was entitled to havo letters patent granted to him for an invention for an improved wearing strip for concaves of threshing machines. Mr. Young appeared for appellant, and Mr. Morison for respondent. Further evidence on behalf of appellant was given by James Keir (working manager for P. and-D. Duucau, Christ-church); Jno. Trotter (farmer, Fairlio, ''and formerly 'a threshing-mill driver); John Watkins (sawmiller, Raglan, and formerly engaged in threshing in Canterbury); John Andrew Macphorson, M.H.R. (owner of threshing machines); Robert •' Parr (engineer, Timaru); H. W.' Paj : no (foreman engineer for Reid and Gray, Dunedin)'; and W. J. Campbell (miilowner, Timaru). This concluded the case for appellant. I Thei Court then adjourned until ,10 a.m. to-day. ' His Honour Mr. Justice Button will deliver judgment at 10.30 this morning in tho case Drysdalo v. Pryde.
