SALVATION ARMY DIORAMA.
Tho Salvation Army Diorama Company', a combination of twcnty->two performers, which is touring New Zealand for the purpose of assisting the Soli-Denial movement, gave a performauco in the Town Hall last evening. Tlic house v.'as crovrafed in every part. Tho opening selection was ''Gems of Sacred Music," by the l>iorama Band. Tho City Singing Company, eighteen male and female voices, sang "Am I a Soldier of tho Cross,' and Lieut. Stevens contributed an illustrated song. A remarkably fine series of films' were thrown on tho screen depicting tho ruin of a family by alcohol. The concluding biogranli films were:—The Life of Christ, the Holy City, and tho Lifo of Moses. Tho programme 'terminated with tho singing of " Nearer My God to Theo" by the City Male Glee Party. The orchestra was composed entirely of brass instruments,, and tho offect was pleasing. Tho company will appear at tho Town Hall again this evening, and will lcavo for Christchurch to-morrow evonin^.
