INSURRECTION. By Telcsraph-Association—Copyright. (Received October 2, 10.40 p.m.) Seoul, Octobcr 2. The Korean insurrection has been' quelled. The Japanese lost 15 killed and 40 wounded. Tho insurgents lost 800 killed and several thousands wounded. Tho insurrection started with Japan's coup in deposing the former Emperor of Korea and placing the country practically under Japanese administration. It was cabled oil September !) that tho insurgents hud abandoned organised resistance and had begun to destroy railways and telegraphs, and to kill unarmed Japanese.
