BOILER BURSTS. 'A FUSILLADE OF DEBRIS. NARROW ESCAPES. ( By Telegraph—Association-Copyright. (Received, October 3, 0.48 a.m.) Sydney, October 2. A sensational explosion occurred at Circular Quay this'ovening. A launch belonging to Mort's Dock, with over thirty dock hands aboard, was lying at tho Quay, when the boiler burst. Tho noise was heard for miles. Tho vessel opened up and sank. All tho hands Were rescued. The 'master of tho launch recoived a few scratches. No one else received tho slightest injury. Pieces of wreckage were hurled into George Street. The furnace door was thrown into the air, and crashed on to tho deck of the steamer Eastern. Many people had narrow escapes from tho flying dobris.
