AUTOMOBILE CLUB.
Tlio annual meeting of the Wellington Automobile Club was held at the Grand Hotel on Monday night, there being present:—Messrs. A. do Brandon (in the chair), C. M. Banks (hon. secretary), J. J. Williamson, T. Inglis, H. Wardell, J. H. Owen, H. Lester, G. Bradley, and Dr. Gibbs. The annual report and balance-sheet were adopted. Tho election of officers and Club Commit-too resulted as follows:—President, Mr. T. W. Hisiop (re-elected); hon. secretary, Mr. C; M. Banks (reelected) ; treasurer, Mr. E. Bucholz (in placo of Mr. S. Dix, who was unable to accept nomination); hon. auditors, Messrs. A. 15. W'hyto and Oswell Beere; Committee, Messrs. T. Wardell, J. H. Owen, J. J. Williamson, T. Inglis, and Dr. C. P. Knight. It was decided to open tho season with a picnic at Pukuratalii, near Kaitoke, 011 Labour Day, the meet to be at 12.30 p.m. Circulars to that effect will be posted to members. A big turn out is expected, and tho run should be a successful one,.as the ilutt Road is reported to he in an unusual state of good repair.
