The Wanganui trader Huia went on the patent slip yesterday to undergo her annual survey. The s.s. Himitangi, which left Wellington for Greymouth on September 24, has been sheltering for some days at Totorauui. She called at Wcstport yesterday morning, and, after replenishing her coal bunkers, resumed the voyage to Greymouth. The- Himitangi is to load coal for Wanganui. The Corinthio's departure from Auckland for Wellington has been altered to Friday, making her due here on Sunday.
The U.S.S. Company's steamer Kittawa, due from Lyttelton to-day, is to undergo survey at Wellington, and bo-overhauled.
The s.s. Vainui, which has been, detained by bad weather on the "West Coast, lett Greymouth for Napier at C a.m. yos terday. Latest advices state that the s.s. To Anau has been unable to enter Wcstport owing to the bad stato of the bar.
The s.s. Talune left Wellington yesterday for Lyttelton and Dunedin. . On arrival there 6hc withdraws for overhaul, Her running will bo taken up by' the s.s. Monowai, leaving Dunedin on October 6.
The s.s. Whang,aiis was cxpcctcd to lcavo Westport for Wellington last niglit. Two spare tail shafts were shipped by the Talune for Dunedin yesterday. They weighing 6} and 3J tons respectively; tho larger one belongs to tho Patecua, and the smaller to tile I'ukaki.
Tlio trawler Nora Nivcn is duo at Wellington on Friday from the West Coast. Owing to a scarcity of sailors, the schooner Clyde was unable to leave for Greymouth yesterday, but it is expected she will sail to-day. A Southern exchange states that the Union Company's, cargo steamer Waihora is expected to load at Dunedin on October -3, Lyttelton on tho 4t.li, Wellington on the stli. and Auckland on tho Bth. She will finally sail from tlio northern port for Newcastle, Singapore, and Calcutta. The vessel is to return from Calcutta via ports to New Zealand with November londing. It is reported, says tho "Press," that Mr. 11. W. Budee, lale chief engineer of the Dakanoa, has gone Home to join the Union Company's new cargo turret stoauicr Koromiko. It is also said that Mr. A. Lewis, late of tlio Ilauroto, is returning to New Zealand as chief engineer of the Marama.
The Tyser liner Mimiro, from New Yd'k and Australian ports, is expected to resell Auckland to-day. • i According to the New Zealand "Ilcrald," the auxiliary schooner Waiapu has been sold to Messrs.
