The captain is confident that the vessel can do 26| knots. , Harliiml and Wolff are to build a Hnmbuj'K-Anieiican liner larger than tho Lusitania, Messrs. John Brown and Co., of the Clydebank Works, will supply tho engines. Tho Royal Mail Company's steamer Asturias. of 12,500 tons, was launched at Messrs. Harland and Wolff's yards, Belfast. She sails'for Australia on January ,24. In a scries of irinl runs the sister ship Mauretania averaged, a speed of 26} knots ail hour. The Lusitania in her run to New York averaged 23.1t knots.
