Operations for raising the sunken hulk Blackball art* being conducted by the Blackball Coal Company, says a Ohristchurch telegram. It is intended to raise the bulwarks so as to.be above the surface of the water, to cover the hull between the bulwarks and the copper with specialty-prepared waterproof canvas, and to' remove about 300 tons of tho coal by means of the Harbour Board's Priestman dredge, so as to make clear room for the pumps of the Tiniaru suction dredge. .
