In the Assembly, tho Premier' (Mr. Price) announced that the Legislative Council had declined to give way on its amendments to tho Franchise Bill. He moved the appointment of managers to a conference of tho two Houses. The conference subsequently had a leiigthy sitting, and adjourned before a settlement was reached.
