Friday, October 22, 1875. (Before IF. Lawrence Simpson, Esq., R. M.) J. Scott v. 11. Robertson.—Claim for £ll 7a 4d, debt. Verdict for amount claimed, with costs IDs : failing payment, distress. Saturday, October 23, 1875. (Before David A. Jolly , Esq., Mayor.) W. O. Matthews forfeited 20s bail for drunkenness, and the same drouthy individual was lined 20s on Monday for a similar offence, witli the alternative of 4S hours’imprisonment, which latter he elected to take. Tuesday, October 26. John Campbell, for drunkenness, was fined IDs, or 24 hours’ imprisonment. N. Campion, charged by the police with lunacy, was remanded for medical examination.

Park and others v. Pc veil and others.—Action to recover damages for unlawful interference by reason of allowing tailings to overflow plaintiffs’ tailrace, Pipeclay gully. A good deal of evidence was heard on both shies, and the Warden adjourned judgment for a week.

Johnston, 4 heads fr>m Deep Creek ; refused, as title already existed ; Cavanagh and Brooke, objectors. T. Cochrane and another, 3 heads, from Dulfer’s gully ; S. Kernaghan and others, S heads from German gully granted. C. Tippett and another, 1 head from Wet gully—consideration reserved. Dam. —I. Cochrane and another, Buffer’s gully— granted. Ar/ricullural Lease. —John M. M'Lean, 200 acres, being sections 17, IS, 20, and 21, Block 1., 'farms district—granted.
